Vet Diary

May 15th Lump discovered by vet thought to be a tumor

June 7th Tissue sample sent to Idexx Lab. Cost $75.00

July 1st Xray Bayshore Animal Hospital $117.00

July 7th Oncologist read xray and examined Cocoa. Blue Pearl Vet FL $104.50

Good news cancer not spread to lungs, but the tumor must be removed before it spreads. This is when it will get expensive and we need you help so that we can give Cocoa the care she needs to keep her alive and enable her to be adoptable.

July 12th Northwest Vetrinary Clinic Bloodwork $155

The surgery and lab work is estimated at $1300 (good samaritan discount). If malignant then Cocoa will need radiation - approx $4000 according to Blue Pearl Vet

September 12th St. Pete Beach Veterinary Clinic Tumor Removal

Dachshund Coca had her tumor removed and sent off to the lab for testing. Let’s all keep fingers crossed that the results are negative and the tumor is benign
